At the time of the official signing, which was attended by club President Frederico Varandas, Geny Catamo acknowledged that he was "proud and happy" to continue at the club.

The Mozambican listed his debut with a goal in the Juniors and his debut for the first team against Portimonense SC on December 29th, 2021, as some of his best moments so far.

 

"When wearing the Sporting CP shirt I have to be aware that this is a big club and I have to represent it properly," he concluded.
